RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in developing and executing a strategic plan to achieve monthly and annual forecasts
- Hire, train, mentor, support and monitor the performance staff
- Assist Sales Managers in working and closing deals
- Drive used car acquisition, inventory turn and pricing strategies for maximum profitability
- Be a hands-on leader, engaging with staff and customers daily to drive performance
- Ensure exceptional customer experience and retention
- Maintain strong relationships with manufacturer, vendors and lenders
- Manage P&L, expense control and overall dealership profitability
- Stay ahead of market trends, digital retailing and evolving customer expectations
- Implement growth strategies that align with automotive group objectives by carefully assessing profit and loss while maintaining vehicle inventory that meets the needs of the local market
- Learn and uphold all local, state and federal regulations impacting vehicle sales and the automotive industry as a whole
- Additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 2 years proven success as an Automotive General Manager in an automotive dealership
- Experience in maintaining the profitability of the dealership while controlling expenses and sustaining customer satisfaction
- Strong communication skills to deal with customers, employees and vendors
- A lead-from-the-front attitude - actively involved in daily operations
- Ability to analyze date, drive performance and execute winning strategies
- Exceptional negotiation, communication and leadership skills
- Strong knowledge of F&I, fixed ops and digital marketing strategies
