Position Overview:

As the Director of Electrical Engineering, you will be a key member of our leadership team, overseeing the Electrical Engineering Department’s strategic direction, with a primary focus on fostering a culture of innovation, mentorship, and continuous employee growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in electrical engineering, coupled with exceptional people leadership and management skills.


Key Responsibilities:


Leadership and Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and communicate a compelling vision for the electrical engineering department, aligning with the overall company goals.
  • Provide strategic direction to the team, ensuring alignment with industry trends and technological advancements.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages creativity and innovation.


Team Management:

  • Determine alignment of people and resource allocation to aid in delivery of complex MEP and AEC projects.
  • Facilitate and foster collaboration with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to achieve seamless coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Implement effective monitoring and management of the design backlog to ensure timely project execution.
  • Develop and execute resource planning strategies to appropriately staff projects, optimizing team efficiency and project delivery timelines


Team Development:

  • Lead and inspire a team of electrical engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
  • Drive performance management initiatives, setting clear expectations, conducting regular performance reviews, and identifying opportunities for skill development.
  • Promote a positive work environment that values diversity and inclusion.


Technical Expertise:

  • Bring a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices to guide the team in delivering innovative and efficient solutions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to enhance the department's capabilities.


Client Engagement:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their electrical engineering needs and provide expertise in developing tailored solutions.
  • Ensure client satisfaction through effective communication and project delivery.


Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards in electrical engineering designs and installations.
  • and uphold compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on MEP or AEC projects.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing and developing engineering teams.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and contribute to the company's overall business objectives.

Salary : $125,000 - $160,000
