Job Summary
We are seeking energetic, dedicated and highly motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dental team in providing high quality dental care with a positive patient experience.
Duties
- Support dentists and hygienists during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
- Perform basic laboratory tasks
- Cleaning and organizing tasks
- Manage and maintain inventory of dental supplies
- Other job related duties
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required, advanced education in a dental field preferred
- Coronal polishing and sealant certificate is a plus
- Knowledge of dental coding and documentation preferred
- Experience in assisting with various dental procedures preferred
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus
- Ability to handle dental receptionist duties when needed
- Competency in using dental software or willingness to learn
- Understanding of medical records management and dental imaging technologies
- Bilingual. English and Spanish.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Current CPR certification preferred
- International dentists and dental students are welcome to apply
- This position is temporary as needed on some Wednesdays, Fridays, or Saturdays
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
