Manufacturing Engineering Team Leader

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Team Leader who will provide technical leadership, drive process development, and ensure project success. This role requires a positive and stable role model for team members, with a commitment to being available for a variety of business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the MFE team to document and enhance manufacturing capabilities and production methods.
• Design and implement new manufacturing processes, guiding direct reports in drafting capital expenditure requests, re-engineering equipment, and creating tooling, fixtures, and material handling solutions.
• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements by leveraging knowledge of product design, materials, machines, and personnel management.
• Facilitate discussions on product enhancements and oversee Engineering Change Requests.
• Advise cross-functional departments on the impact of product changes on manufacturing processes and vice versa.
• Manage projects effectively by leading the MFE team, conducting productive meetings, and collaborating with employees, suppliers, and contractors.
• Establish clear communication channels with vendors regarding technical specifications and quality standards.
• Support Manufacturing Technicians in troubleshooting and restoring equipment functionality.
• Stay updated on industry best practices through ongoing training in relevant subjects.
• Engage in hands-on activities, including standing, walking, kneeling, and lifting, as needed in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
• Supervise direct reports, contractors, and production staff, ensuring safe and efficient processes.
• Collaborate with HR during any disciplinary actions involving direct reports.
• Provide guidance and support to direct reports during transitions and training for new responsibilities.
