What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher position at Vida Kids Therapy?
Are you passionate about working hands-on with young children and their families—in their own homes—to support their growth during those most important first three years?
At Vida Kids Therapy, we’re looking for a nurturing, play-based, and reliable In-Home Early Intervention Teacher / Infant Specialist to join our collaborative, multidisciplinary team. You’ll be delivering home-based early intervention services, empowering caregivers, and helping little ones reach developmental milestones through fun, functional, and family-centered routines.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Support children (ages 0-3) with developmental delays through engaging, individualized play-based activities
- Coach and empower parents and caregivers during sessions to continue the work between visits
- Collaborate with PTs/OTs and participate in team trainings and mentorship opportunities
- Track child progress, complete daily notes, and contribute to development plans
- Work 1:1 in the home or natural environments (parks, playgrounds, libraries, etc.)
What We’re Looking For:
- B.A./B.S. in Child Development, Psychology, Early Childhood Education, or related field
- Minimum of 12 ECE units (REQUIRED)
- 1 years working directly with infants/toddlers (birth to 3) in a teaching or therapy setting
- A calm, engaging presence and love for working with families in diverse communities
- Reliable transportation & valid driver's license
- TB clearance & proof of full COVID-19 vaccination
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus, but not required
- Comfortable with documentation and open communication
