Groundskeeper

For those who have a history and a passion for maintaining outdoor spaces, ensuring a well-kept environment for residents, and take pride in your groundskeeping skills.

Responsibilities:

Landscaping Maintenance:

• Maintain the appearance of outdoor areas: including lawns, gardens, and common spaces, through regular/detailed landscaping activities.
• Assist Maintenance teams with projects and work orders.

Trash and Litter Removal:

• Ensure cleanliness by regularly collecting and disposing of trash and litter from common areas.
• Ensure pet areas are cleaned and stocked with equipment and products.

Seasonal Planting:

• Plant and maintain seasonal flowers, shrubs, and other greenery to enhance the overall aesthetic of the property.

Path and Walkway Maintenance:

• Keep pathways, elevators, sidewalks, and parking areas clear and safe by performing regular maintenance tasks.
• Clear cobwebs, dust ceiling fans, light fixtures, railings, spot clean, mop and sweep common areas, etc.

Equipment Operation:

• Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment: such as lawn mowers, trimmers, power washers and blowers.
• Maintain the cleanliness of grills and machinery used on property.

Irrigation System Management:

• Monitor and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and grass.

Snow Removal:

• Spearhead in snow removal activities during winter months to maintain safe and accessible pathways.

Reporting:

• Report any issues related to property grounds, equipment, or safety concerns to the property management maintenance team.

Participation:

• Hands out flyers/letters to doors or buildings.
• Participate in resident events.

Other Tasks as Assigned:

Assist on making units ready to be available for occupancy.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscaping is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic groundskeeping tools and equipment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and visually appealing property.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, move, use tools, or controls; and talk or hear. Lift and carry items, such as office supplies or maintenance equipment. Climb stairs or navigate uneven terrain in outdoor areas. Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Work Environment: Regularly works indoors and outdoors. Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat. Occasionally work with chemicals such as petroleum products, degreasers, and sprays. Moderate noise level.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
