Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional guest services and will be responsible for ensuring a positive dining experience for all patrons. As a Server, you will take orders, serve food and beverages, and assist guests with any inquiries or requests.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using our simple POS system.
- Provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials and promotions.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Process payments efficiently using the POS system, ensuring accuracy in transactions.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and adherence to food handling standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
- Assist with training new staff members on restaurant policies and procedures as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately.
- Familiarity with a POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must possess valid food handling certification as required by local health regulations.
