ASSEMBLY WORKER
Videk is currently seeking an Assembler for bench work assembly of electronic and mechanical systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for sub-assembly and final system builds that include industrial computers, cameras, cables, wiring harnesses, electrical panels, bracketry, and functional testing of completed equipment. This position is full-time and located in Fairport NY.

Responsibilities include:
Work from assembly drawings and other documentation to assemble computer-based equipment and mechanical hardware systems.
Follow quality procedures and record data as necessary.
Operate test fixtures and measurement tools to evaluate operation of finished systems.
Troubleshoot and repair computers and other hardware.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Electronic Trade School Certificate required
0-5 years of assembler experience
Must be able to lift and carry 30 lbs.
Must be able to identify color-coded components.
Thorough knowledge of computer systems, electrical and mechanical assemblies.
Industrial equipment assembly experience preferred

Responsibilities include:
Manage Production Team
Maintain Build Schedule
Initiate programs to improve efficiency and reduce cost
Drive continuous improvement within the manufacturing team
Assess product quality risks
Ensure procedures and test fixtures are in place for quality assurance
Train team members on new and updated procedures
Assist Product Development to ensure feasibility and eliminate manufacturing issues
Minimum Qualifications:
BS in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
5 years of engineering experience
At least 2 years of experience directly relating to manufacturing
Solid math and analytical skills
Excellent technical writing skills
Work well independently and on a team
Desired Qualifications:
Management experience
Knowledge of common QA and QC quality systems and their standards and techniques
Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning systems
Strong analytical skills that lead to identifying areas of low efficiency and ability to plan and implement improvements
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
Knowledge of Health and Safety practices
