What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Solutions Engineer position at Vident Asset Management?
Vident Asset Management, LLC is looking for a Data Solutions Engineer to join our team. This position will be located at our Alpharetta, GA headquarters. The Data Solutions Engineer reports to the Director of IT and works closely with Vident’s dynamic trading and portfolio management teams in multiple locations.

What you’ll do:
- Design, develop and implement systems to manage and analyze data efficiently and securely
- Prepare and analyze data for the firm that will improve business operations and outcomes
- Design, code, test and maintain software programs and automations.
- Maintain software and coding platform documentation, processes, and maintenance plans.
- Connect new software with existing systems.
- Work on production coding and ETL processes for Investment Management.
- Implement changes for Client Onboarding
- Proactively contribute to overall systems/investment process enhancements.
- Build relationships working with internal and external colleagues to get new initiatives executed and deliver a superior client experience
- Other responsibilities as assigned by manager
What you have:
- Demonstrated experience with Python Programing Language, scripting, and related tools.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office, Bloomberg AIM and portfolio management systems.
- SQL Database administration and/or engineering experience.
- Demonstrated experience working in Excel with formulas and data sources. Strong programming and software development skills
- Experience implementing process improvements and project management
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize while producing high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to discreetly handle confidential data
- Ability to make independent judgments as well as take direction from others
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to organize and express thoughts clearly and concisely
- Experience presenting to clients, fund trust boards, and regulators
- Strong organizational skills and proactive planning, ability to respond to urgent requests
- Aptitude and passion for learning new things quickly with a strong work ethic in a dynamic environment

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required
- MBA or other relevant advanced certification preferred
- Salesforce experience is a plus
- Financial Services experience is a plus
