Job description
Video Security Technology is hiring a camera and networking technician! We are a family-owned company with a great team, the perks of working for a smaller company, and great benefits. We need a team player who enjoys interacting with people as much as they enjoy helping them solve their camera system issues or installing a new system!
The camera technician will use their knowledge of camera and NVR technology to install and troubleshoot our customers’ systems. The primary new technologies that are installed are Dahua products, with other technologies deployed in the field across our client base. We can train on product sets if you have general knowledge of CCTV systems.
Video Security Technology provides a company laptop, phone, and can help you obtain the necessary tools that you will need in the field in addition. Video Security Technology will either provide a company vehicle or reimburse personal vehicle mileage use at current Government rates.
Our clients range from homeowners to large commercial buildings.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour Depending on Experience
Schedule: Typically, 8-hour shift Mon-Friday. Some limited weekend work may be required
Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Qualifications

· High School diploma or GED is required
· Some sales experience is preferred.
· Minimum 6-months experience working servicing camera systems
· Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record
· On-site work may require climbing small ladders, working in small closets, low ceiling basements or dusty/dirty conditions, and very rare outdoor work with exposure to cold/heat and rain/snow
· while observing all company and legal safety policies and requirements

Responsibilities
· The camera technician will use their knowledge of camera and NVR technology to install and troubleshoot our customers’ systems
· We can train on product sets if you have general knowledge of CCTV systems
· We can provide training in individual product sets for the right person, provided that they have experience as a field technician working with CCTV systems
· An ability to engage with potential clients and work to identify their IT needs and put together sale proposals or quotes that meet their specific needs.
· Ability to network with potential clients to build awareness of Video Security Technology’s product and service offerings.
· Almost all work will be done directly at client locations
· Regular computer use will be required
· On-site work may require driving anywhere in our service area, including the Idaho Panhandle, Eastern Washington and Western Montana.
· Ability to lift 50 lbs.
· The work schedule will typically be Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm

Minimum Qualifications:

· An Idaho low-voltage license is a plus.
· Must pass a local criminal records validation.
