Video Voice Data Communications (VVD) is an Engineer Design/Construction company that provides electrical and telecommunications solutions. We have an IMMEDIATE opening for a Pole Loading/Wind loading Analyst to develop technical drawings of products using computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, O-Calc and/or Spida.
Position Description
The pole loading/wind loading analyst will contribute to the production of planner redlines, base maps, encroachment permits, Cat5, fiber optic networks. You will prepare documentation that includes product materials and dimensions and review with team leaders and project managers prior to client submittal and updating our internal database.
Pole Loading/Wind loading Analyst job description:
- Read and translate pole survey notes into pole loading software
- Prepare pole load reports for package for package completion and project submittal
- Collaborate with field surveyors, project managers and drafters
- Open to learn new tasks related to job or assignment
- Understanding of pole make-ready language and procedures is a plus
Duties and Responsibilities
Qualified candidates should possess the following:
- Knowledge of AutoCAD design/drafting techniques and knowledge with O-Calc Pro and/or SPIDA
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Google Earth
- Capture accurate measurements of attachment heights, span distances, utility structures, & distances from existing/proposed OSP facilities to centerlines, property lines, and curb lines
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Good organizational, planning and time management skills
- Must be open-minded and have initiative to learn and take on new tasks
- Adaptable to demanding time frames

Wage Range:
$20.00 - $25.00 / hour, based on experience
