POSITION
We are seeking a contract Software QA Engineer to join our team in our Boston, MA office. Reporting to VP of Software, this role will be responsible for validating software that meets the quality requirement for released product.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with developers to design, build, and maintain QA plan, ensuring comprehensive coverage
- Work closely with the team during the pre-deployment phase to ensure smooth and successful releases, including conducting regression and performance testing
- Regularly update the team on outstanding bugs, their status, and priority levels
- Leverage your QA expertise to propose and implement new testing strategies and tools
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 3-5 years of experience in developing test suites for multiple products that ensure product is shipped without defects to customers
- Ability to quickly learn new codebases and develop effective testing failure cases
- Experience with test management tools and version control systems (e.g., ClickUp, Git)
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex systems and understand potential points of failure
- Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and contribute to cross-functional projects
- Experience using the Android operating system
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation, manipulation, and querying
- Experience with the command line and bash scripting
