About the job:
The videographer who shall film, edit, and distribute video content to the proper teams and channels.
Responsibilities:
- Tasks will include writing video scripts; directing government employees, agency partners, and various stakeholders on camera;
- Setting up and monitoring lighting and sound equipment; shooting high-quality digital video; editing videos; writing captions; creating coin animations and other animations as appropriate for government videos; and creating background music or utilizing royalty-free music.
- The videographer will spend roughly one-third of his/her time creating video content for general education and internal usage with two-thirds of billable hours being used on new program content.
Requirements:
- Experience requirements are three to five years of proven success producing and editing video projects of an informational or educational nature.
- Other requirements include proficiency with Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
- Experience with sound recording and editing and/or music creation; demonstrated experience managing a YouTube channel.
- Familiarity with Section 508 compliance and accessibility considerations.
- Ability to take constructive feedback and make timely corrections; and a strong team player mentality who can collaborate across different departments and facilities on important projects.
