What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shift Supervisor ( Chemical Manufacturing / Production) position at VIE HIRE?
Summary :
Directs production activities for assigned shift to ensure that daily production goals and
standards are met in a safe and efficient manner.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Directs completion of assigned daily tasks.
2. Reports progress, needs and issues to the Production Supervisor.
3. Performs tasks of Production Specialist as needed.
4. Monitors adherence to safety policies and procedures
5. Supervises production activities and manages employee performance.
6. Ensure company programs such as ISO, HACCP and Safety are followed within the Production
Department.
7. Ensures that housekeeping requirements are maintained in accordance with GMP.
8. Oversees training progress of department personnel.
9. Suggests changes in working conditions and in use of equipment to increase efficiency of
department or work crew.
Education / Experience :
Associate's Degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school, or six months to
one year related experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
