What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gas Station Attendant position at Viejas Casino & Resort?
GENERAL SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Store Manager, the attendant's primary responsibilities include but are not limited to maintaining store cleanliness, keeping fueling areas clean and stocked, general store maintenance, trash removal, assisting with deliveries, and product storage.
CORE SCOPE OF POSITION
Ensures property is clean and safe for customers and employees of the store.
Helps coordinate the maintenance and upkeep of the store, ensuring safe and sanitary conditions of all public / private areas.
Assists Store Manager and Shift Supervisor with equipment maintenance and reporting.
Assists with product deliveries and inventory storage.
Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
Ensures compliance with all store operating policies and procedures.
Exercises independence initiative in completing operational activities of the convenience store, under the direction of the Store Manager.
Perform other duties related to the operations assigned by the Store Manager or Shift Supervisor.
Required Skills
QUALIFICATIONS
Eligible to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
A minimum of one (1) years of experience in a truck stop / fuel station, convenience store, or similar store is preferred.
Must be highly motivated, goal oriented, and able to make independent decisions.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both with co-workers and the general public.
Must be able to move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing up to 50lbs.
Willing to work irregular hours / days as business dictates including holidays.
Ability to comply with all other requirements as specified within the Personnel Policies and Procedures.
