GENERAL SUMMARY
The Bench Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing of all electronic and mechanical gaming devices down to the component level. This includes CPU boards, miscellaneous circuit boards, bill validators, printers and various harnesses.
CORE SCOPE OF POSITION
- Reviews slot malfunction list daily to prioritize repair request.
- Troubleshoots slot machine devices down to the component level using all available tools and equipment.
- Repairs electrical and mechanical devices used in various slot machine in a quick and safe manner. The devices include main CPU boards, miscellaneous circuit boards, monitors, bill validators, printers, power supplies, miscellaneous harnesses, and various electronic and mechanical devices.
- Performs tests on all repaired electrical and mechanical devices.
- Completes a repair tag detailing what was done to fix the parts and affixes the tag to the part.
- Tracks and records all repairs in a log book.
- May perform slot machine repairs on the floor as needed.
- Reads and utilizes all available and appropriate technical manuals, repair documents, schematics, and any other technical documentation furnished.
- Maintains current knowledge of casino related equipment, support equipment, new games, systems and modifications to existing equipment.
- Maintains an acceptable consistent, regular attendance record.
- Ensures that all bench work areas are clean and safe, follows all safety rules, and uses the safety gear provided.
- Ensures that all test benches used in the repair shop are operating correctly.
- Maintains parts and electronic components inventory of bench repair.
- Gives all repaired parts to Inventory Specialist for proper inventory count and control.
- Attends various off-site technical training when provided. May be asked to travel.
- Attends all scheduled team member meetings and trainings.
- Maintains knowledge of and effectively promotes company services and players’ club program.
- Adheres to all company and department policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines.
- Adheres to all hygiene and safety standards. Ensures that a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment is maintained.
- Performs all related and compatible duties as assigned.

Required Experience
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent in electronic and computer science from a two-year college or technical school.
EXPERIENCE
- 3 or more years of related electronic bench repair experience or the equivalent combination of knowledge and experience.
