VHS is looking for a qualified Physician - Emergency Medicine.
Job Details:
- Duration: Minimum 1 Year Contract with option to extend
- Shift: 12 hour shifts rotating days/nights
- Schedule: Monday through Sunday for a 13-hour shift (which includes two uncompensated 30-minute meal breaks) between the hours of 0000 to 2359
The Physician-Emergency Medicine must have and meet the following:
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) Graduate from an accredited medical school in the United States or Canada
- This degree must have been accredited by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM)
- Minimum of two years of experience as a practicing Emergency Medicine Physician in the last three (3) years
- Must have residency training and completion of a three (3) year Emergency Medicine program accredited by the American College Graduate Medical Education
- The physician should have two (2) years of experience of full-time work in the American College of Surgeons accredited Level 1 Trauma Center
- Two (2) years of teaching and clinical emergency medicine experience post-residency, encompassing all aspects of academic emergency medicine
- This includes the education of residents and interns
- The physician must have proven academic potential as demonstrated by teaching publications and specialty society membership
- Board Certified in Emergency Medicine from the ABEM or the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Physicians
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine
