Requirements: To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must possess a strong background in emergency medicine, with a minimum of two years of experience as a practicing physician in the last three years.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) Graduate from an accredited medical school in the United States or Canada. This degree must have been accredited by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM)
- Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support: Maintain certification in Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and in Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS).
- Minimum of two years of experience as a practicing Emergency Medicine Physician in the last three (3) years. Must have residency training and completion of a three (3) year Emergency Medicine program accredited by the American College Graduate Medical Education.
- The physician should have two (2) years of experience of full-time work in the American College of Surgeons accredited Level 1 Trauma Center, Two (2) years of teaching and clinical emergency medicine experience post-residency, encompassing all aspects of academic emergency medicine. This includes the education of residents and interns. The physician must have proven academic potential as demonstrated by teaching publications and specialty society membership.
- Board Certified in Emergency Medicine from the ABEM or the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Physicians.
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine.
