Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified Psychologist to join our team at VieMed Healthcare Staffing. The successful candidate will have a Doctoral Degree in Psychology and a minimum of one year of clinical practice experience as a licensed independent psychologist.
About the Role
The Behavioral Health Provider (BHP) will work with detainees with mental health concerns, providing direct mental services including on-site counseling, individual and group psychotherapy, substance abuse education, and behavioral analysis. The BHP will also consult with medical staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Responsibilities
- Provide direction and oversight to multidisciplinary team in the implementation and management of an integrated mental health treatment program
- Provide direct care to patients within discipline scope of practice
- Develop and manage patient treatment plans in coordination with behavioral health technicians
- Provide psychological assessment, evaluations, and testing
Requirements
- Doctoral Degree in Psychology from a graduate program accredited by the American Psychological Association
- Minimum one year of clinical practice experience as a licensed independent psychologist
- Licensure to practice independently in the state where the duty station is located
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment
