Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver and instruct patient on use of home medical respiratory equipment, in person or via telephone, and advise client of warning signs as to when to call physician
- Provide respiratory skills to patients in the field as directed by physician orders
- Provide exceptional care to patients and clients
- Work well with client family members to ensure comfort and respect for the client’s illness
- Demonstrate a professional attitude at all times, being polite and respectful in interactions with employees, patients/customers, referral sources, and vendors. Includes maintaining a professional appearance with clothing, grooming and personal hygiene
- Maintain current knowledge of and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures; respond to complaints and incidents promptly and report through proper channels in a timely fashion
- Manage relationships with employees, vendors, physicians, and other referral sources.
- Carries phone for after-hours emergency on-call services, scheduled for a one-week call period, approximately one week a month
- Responsible to perform other duties as assigned by management
- This role covers Murfreesboro, TN, Franklin, TN, Dickson, TN, Clarksville, TN, and Columbia, TN.
Qualifications:
- Must be a licensed Respiratory Therapist (RT)
- 1-2 years’ experience in respiratory care, either in acute or home setting
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of the respiratory care field and ability to act as a resource for peers and non-clinical staff
- Organization and the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time are very important for a successful candidate
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral are also required
- Must have a valid, state-issued driver’s license with a good driving record
