Position: Dietary Manager - Full Time

Required Qualifications
- Has similar national certification for food service management and safety from a national certifying body.
- Has an associates or higher degree in food service management or in hospitality, if the course study includes food service or restaurant management, from an accredited institution of higher learning; or
- Has 2 or more years of experience in the position of director of food and nutrition services in a nursing facility setting and has completed a course of study in food safety and management that includes topics integral to managing dietary operations including, but not limited to, foodborne illness, sanitation procedures, and food purchasing/receiving;
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Utilize your background in management, culinary arts and customer service to inspire out team to contline a quality dining experience
- The Dietary Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operation of the Dietary Department in accordance with current applicable Federal, State and local standard, guidelines and regulations
- Schedule department working hours, personnel, work assignments, etc. to ensure quality patient care
- Schedule and /or conduct in-service for department personnel as needed
- Oversees the budget and purchasing of food and supplies, and food preparation, services, and storage.
- Maintains a clean and sanitary environment.
- Overseeing safe and timely meal preparation, including the provision of meals and/or supplements in accordance with residents needs, preferences, and care plan.
- Monitors regular and therapeutic diets, including texture of foods and liquids to meet the specialized needs of residents.
- Lean and participates in interdisciplinary team meetings
- Participates in QAPI activities when food and nutrition services are involved
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
- Must live in service area.
