About This Role
This role will report to the NA RLCS Controller who is looking to transform an organization with annual revenue in excess of $7B through standardization, scale, and automation. This role will be the Controller for the Replacement Components (RC) business unit ($0.8B revenue), with critical tasks that include, but are not limited to, timely and accurate month / quarter close, accounting policy compliance, and oversight of SOX control environment. The Controller will liaison with the business CFO on accounting and financial reporting topics, and will be responsible for guiding Operational Accounting team members that support RC inventory and liability reserves.
In addition, this role will be responsible for managing legacy close related support for HVAC NA entities by working closely with RTR COE and WHQ teams. The role will also be involved in Carrier Excellence / Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise the month end closing & reporting process to ensure accuracy of financial reporting;
- Complete balance sheet fluctuation analysis, and periodic balance sheet reviews;
- Ensure quality of balance sheet reconciliations and perform periodic review procedures;
- Ensure all financial reporting is in accordance with Carrier Policy & US GAAP;
- Provide Accounting support to internal customers (Finance, Sales, Operations, Tax);
- Participate in all compliance related items which pertain to Accounting operations / financial reporting including GAP Assessments, process narratives reviews and updates, risks assessments and remediation;
- Mentor and develop broader accounting team, focusing team on process improvements;
- Use experience and Carrier Excellence tools to lead efforts across the team to achieve productivity goals.
- Partner with Digital Technology on implementations and identified required improvements.
