The Community Living Supports (CLS) Worker will provide support to individuals with intellectual developmental disability in the home and community settings.
Under direct supervision, assists with daily living activities at the person's home, in a daytime non-residential facility or a residential facility. Provides training of basic personal and social skills, simple academics, or work skills to consumers/students in a state school, hospital, juvenile detention facility, residence, group home, workshop, or supported employment environment
Duties & Responsibilities:
- One-to-one interactions with the individuals with intellectual developmental disabilities to increase/maintain self-sufficiency through skill building in areas such independent living skills, health care, personal care training and behavioral/productivity needs.
- Provide assistance and general supervision for individuals with intellectual developmental disabilities
- supervise and assisting the individuals with activities of daily living
- helping the individuals with cleaning and other household duties
- transporting individuals to and from community services and social events
- Attend training sessions as needed and all other duties as assigned.

- Ability to accept constructive feedback and develop knowledge and skill sets accordingly.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisors, and community members.
- Ability to adhere to organizational policies and procedures
- Commitment to maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPPA laws.
- Commitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to professional development, ethics, and technology, and training in order to perform job responsibilities to required standard.
- Must maintain a professional appearance with regard to clothing, grooming, hair, and make-up.

Requirements/Competencies:
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds
- Requires long periods of sitting/standing
- Must have valid Georgia driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy
- Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens
- Any combination of training and experience, which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license
- Other duties as assigned.
