View Point Health is a community behavioral health center utilizing a team of psychiatrists, nurses, licensed counselors, social workers, and other professionals to provide services to individuals who need treatment and support to cope with mental illness, substance abuse, and intellectual and developmental disabilities. View Point Health serves uninsured, underinsured, low-income Medicaid, Medicare, war veterans and some private insurance across multiple locations with a full continuum of behavioral health services and support. The services provided by View Point Health contribute to the reduction in homelessness, reduction in crime and subsequent incarcerations, higher graduation rates, lower dropout rates, decreased ER visits and decreased inpatient admissions.
The Residential Care Provider monitors general resident activity.y to observe and report behavior/progress of individuals with severe developmental disabilities living in a group home or other community residential setting and provides individualized skills trainings according to residents’ needs. The RCP aids in maintaining the residence in a clean and organized condition, preparing/serving meals, supervises the self-administration of consumer medications using agency protocols and maintains required records.
Other duties include lifting/carrying, cooking, groceries/supplies, moving furniture for cleaning and transporting clients to recreational and other activities which may include helping handicapped clients on/off a vehicle.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with Developmental Disabilities in basic daily living skills.
- Carry out a person-centered Individual Service Plan (ISP).
- Ensures individuals are dressed neatly and appropriately and are always groomed.
- Assists and encourages individuals to care for immediate personal needs such as toileting, washing their hands, and eating.
- Teaches individuals daily skills such as household chores, laundry, cleaning, and washing dishes, as appropriate according to their individual plan.
- Transports individuals to work, day programs, doctor appointments, shopping, recreational activities.
- Assist with scheduling medical appointments.
- Assists in the implementation of individual and behavioral plans and provides feedback for plan goals.
- Assists individuals in the pursuit of recreational, social and community activities based on their preferences and individualized treatment plans.
- Assists and encourages individuals in the establishment of social networks.
- Promotes participation and involvement in community outings.
- Ensure each individual’s rights are protected.
- Treats individuals with dignity and respect
- Assists with maintaining the residence in a clean and organized condition.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED AND any combination of training and experience, which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Note:
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must have valid Georgia Driver's License, and a clean motor vehicle report.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Intellectually Developmentally Disabled (IDD) population.
- Certified Nursing Assistant certification (CNA), Direct Support Professional (DSP), Direct Care Professional (DCP) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) preferred.
Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license.
Requirements/Competencies:
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and a clean Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.
- Must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting).
- Requires TB Evaluation at pre-employment and annually.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
- Requires long periods of sitting/standing.
- Must have the following technical skills – Word, Excel and Electronic Health Record (Care Logic).
- Must be willing to transport residents in the company van.
- Must demonstrate the ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients in a residential treatment setting.
- Must be able to lift and carry groceries and supplies and move furniture for cleaning.
- Must be able to assist disabled individuals on/off vehicle and secure seatbelts.
- Must be able to use a gait belt and mechanical lift to lift and position individuals, as needed.
