Job Description
Vighter is recruiting healthcare professionals to conduct basic screening assessments and provide healthcare services to individuals detained by Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emergency care to help stabilize patients for life, death, loss of sight/limb situations until Emergency Medical Services arrives.
- Perform medical history and physical assessment; determine chief complaint.
- Perform vital signs electronically and manually, as indicated.
- Apply professional principles, procedures, and techniques for patient care.
- Maintain compliance with DHS and CBP policies and any overriding accreditation standards that may apply.
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of one year of experience in direct patient care as a licensed/certified Paramedic.
- Successful completion of a US-based training program leading to licensure/certification as a Paramedic (EMT-P).
- Current, active, valid, unencumbered license/registration/certification to practice healthcare in the state in which the candidate will work.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved organization.
Work Environment:
The CBP mission runs 24/7/365 to protect our country. Shift schedules for HCPs include day, night, weekday, weekend, and holidays.
