Description
The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of experience with case management or a related area, possess a valid driver’s license, and meet all hiring requirements, including passing a drug test. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong organizational and writing skills, an understanding of the legal system and local resources, assertive behavior, and the ability to develop meaningful relationships with individuals, service providers, Judges, attorneys, court and correctional staff. Currently, this is a 2 year grant position. Three positions are available to work with Drug Court, Juvenile Court and the other adult courts in Vigo County.

Examples of Duties
Provide case management services for individuals within the criminal justice system that have been referred by Vigo County Courts
- Returning phone calls
- Meeting with clients with their attorneys
- Identifying needed resources
- Advocate for the individual’s needs
- Assist individuals in gathering needed documentation
- Support individuals enrolled in Problem Solving Courts
- Assist in crisis and emergency situations
- Network with local, state and federal agencies
- Coordinate and link/refer individuals to needed services
- Advocate for individual’s rights and interests
- Perform clinical mental health and addiction screenings
- Provide input to local mental health and addiction providers
- Be able to work in and provide input in a Correctional setting
- Develop documentation and keep accurate records of interactions for data collection
- Be a resource for others
- Act as a liaison between individuals, Courts, Attorneys and service providers
- Maintain confidentiality and standards of ethical practice
- Other duties as assigned
Required: BS degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related discipline, MS is preferred.
HOURS: Monday - Friday 8 am - 4 pm; After hours as needed
Salary : $52,000 - $55,000
