We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our dedicated team. As the first point of contact for pet owners, you will provide exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival and assist with any immediate needs.
- Schedule appointments and efficiently manage the clinic's calendar.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure information is up-to-date.
- Process payments and handle medical collections with professionalism and care.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries about services, pet care, and general information.
- Assist veterinary staff with basic animal handling during appointments.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Support inventory management of pet care products and supplies.
- Educate clients on proper pet care practices and available clinic services.
Experience & Skills: Candidates should possess experience or skills in the following areas:
- Animal Handling: Comfortable interacting with various breeds and temperaments.
- Pet Grooming: Familiarity with grooming techniques is a plus.
- Aseptic Technique: Knowledge of cleanliness standards in a medical environment.
- Medical Collection: Experience in processing payments related to veterinary services.
- Veterinary Knowledge: Background or education in veterinary practices is beneficial; knowledge of veterinary terminology, procedures, and medications is a plus.
- Pet Care & Animal Husbandry: Understanding of general pet health, wellness practices, and animal management.
- Veterinary Critical Care: Experience assisting in emergency situations is advantageous.
- Kennel Operations: Familiarity with kennel care and management.
