Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer/ Receptionist- Part time to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to conflict management, loss prevention, and surveillance operations. The Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring premises through CCTV systems, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Compensation $24 per hour
Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 1:30 pm
Must have License type G

Responsibilities
- Entrance control
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Utilize surveillance equipment, including CCTV, to observe and report any irregularities.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents requiring security intervention.
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to ensure safety standards are met.
- Prepare daily reports
- Provide first aid and CPR assistance when necessary, ensuring the health and safety of individuals on site.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required and maintain accurate incident reports.
- Engage in conflict management techniques to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
Experience
- Previous experience in security or law enforcement.
- Customer Service
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems and loss prevention techniques is an asset.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- A background in military service is a plus but not required.
