Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining safety and security at our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, a solid understanding of security protocols, and the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations. The Armed Security Officer will be responsible for protecting property, personnel, and assets while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Shift: Every Friday and Saturday from 10pm to 3am
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Entrance control/ Crowd control.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action to mitigate risks.
- Enforce security policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, grounds, and vehicles as necessary to ensure safety protocols are being followed.
- Provide assistance during emergencies by administering first aid or CPR when required.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies as needed to report incidents or provide assistance during investigations.
- Document all incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports for review by management.
Requirements
- Valid armed security license
- Previous experience in law enforcement or security roles preferred; military experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
- Proficiency in conflict management skills to de-escalate potentially volatile situations effectively.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held is acceptable.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse individuals.
- Must pass background checks and any required pre-employment screenings.
