Security Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to security, ensuring the protection of property and personnel while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, assessing the situation and taking appropriate action.
• Control access to premises by verifying credentials of individuals entering the facility.
• Utilize CCTV and surveillance equipment to monitor activities and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, observations, and any unusual occurrences.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary, providing assistance in investigations as required.
• Conduct regular inspections of security systems and equipment, ensuring they are functioning properly.
• Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property.
• Provide first aid or CPR in emergency situations as needed, ensuring the safety of individuals on-site.

Skills

• Possession of a valid security certificate or relevant training in security operations is preferred.
• Previous experience in law enforcement or military service is advantageous.
• Proficient in using CCTV systems and surveillance technology for monitoring purposes.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail for identifying potential security risks.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 14 per week

• 8 hour shift
