What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mold Setup Technician position at Viking Plastics?
RESPONSIBILITIES: include but are not limited to the following:
- Control plan adherence
- Baseline process adherence
- Parts capturing improvements
- Setup and changeover time reduction
- ISO/TS 16949 adherence
- Proper line clearance per approved Work Instruction
- Communication of equipment and output problems to shift supervisors
- Efficiency/QOS improvements (more good parts/hour)
- Cleanliness and organizational improvements
- Safety
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- Two years' experience in the setup of molds in plastic injection molding machines
- Knowledge of basic hand tools and measuring instruments
- Must be able to demonstrate good communication skills in both verbal and written form
- Have reliable transportation and communication means
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, stoop, walk, push, pull, climb
- Good sight and hearing required
- Must be able to work in hot and cold environment
Employee is regularly exposed to a manufacturing environment and elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, cold and chemicals.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
