What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Assembly Tech III position at Viking Pure Solutions?
The Electrical Assembly Tech II requires advanced soldering skills and exposure to most repair/rework procedures for the assembly of all Viking Pure Solution’s products. The primary function of the Assembly Tech II is to assemble assigned products with increasing complexity.
Must have solid knowledge of most mechanical assembly, cable, and wire harness assembly. Must possess the ability to read and understand all assembly instructions and prints. Must be able to understand all redlined documents to the fullest degree. Must also be able to identify all types of components and technologies. Must have surface mount and thru-hole experience. Must have knowledge of all automated and standalone processing equipment. Must be able to perform under tight deadlines and demonstrate the ability to multitask with minimal supervision. Must have advanced knowledge of IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 and QMS standards. Must comply with all ESD and company policies.
The Electrical Assembly Tech II must work closely with Quality Control, Manufacturing, Materials, Engineering and Test ensuring verbal and written communication are clear and understood.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Proficiently assemble both sub and higher-level components according to detailed drawings and work instructions, progressing from moderate to complex builds with precision.
- Ensures manufacturing quality standards are met and maintains logs reflecting daily work.
- Regularly solder and crimp wires of diverse sizes, assembling wire circuits, cables, and electronic components.
- Utilize testing tools to ensure product quality and reliability.
- Ability to work under microscope.
- Work cooperatively in a team environment.
Qualifications/Skills Required:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience within related field.
- Ability to work independently in a self-directed environment.
- SMT experience in electronic assembly.
- Proficient in J-STD-001D and IPC-A-610 standards.
- Capable of conducting various operations to assemble, rework, or modify electronic and electromechanical products, including circuit card assembly and repair. Proficient in using hand tools like crimpers, cutters, soldering irons, and ESD monitoring systems.
- Should have good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
