What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager, Compensation & Audit position at Viking?
Summary
Reporting to our Director, HR Finance you will be responsible for preparing and updating the annual US labor budget, serving as the admin for the company 401(k) plan, and assisting with various HR and compensation related tasks. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with different departments.
This is a hybrid position based in our Woodland Hills, CA office. You will be required to adhere to our hybrid work policy, working from our office Monday and Thursday plus one additional weekday on a weekly basis.
Job Responsibilities :
- Prepare and update the annual US labor budget and quarterly forecasts
- Prepare quarterly US staff bonus accruals, payroll tax reports for the Tax Team, intercompany transfer pricing reports for the Accounting Team, and assist with the annual payroll audit
- Manage weekly 401(k) uploads, review contributions and loan requests, send monthly termination lists, and assist with annual audits and Form 5500 filing
- Develop and document audit procedures related to HR processes
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and Finance teams to optimize compensation practices and integrate them into broader talent management and financial planning processes
- Ensure compliance with compensation-related laws and regulations, stay updated on compensation trends, legislative changes, and best practices to maintain competitiveness and compliance
- Support the preparation of monthly HR reporting packages, focusing on headcount and labor / payroll data trends for US employees
- Maintain employee “restricted insiders’” list, track Insider Trading course completion for new hires, and ensure correct stock trading designations monthly
- Assist with HR internal controls, including employee transfers or business title changes that impact stock trading designations, and ensure the accuracy of new hire information in HRIS, such as pay rate and business title
- Assist with the annual California Pay Data Report filing
- Help with any ad hoc projects for the HR Team

Salary : $145,000 - $165,000
