We are seeking talented Systems Engineers (SE) of all levels to support our mission in and around the Fort Meade, Maryland area. Your expertise in Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) will play a critical role in advancing national defense strategies and achieving operational objectives.
Responsibilities
As a System Engineer, you will:
Manage System Requirements:

Ensure that system requirements and derived requirements align with defined system architectures such as Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and Service-oriented Architecture (SOA).
Develop and Allocate System Requirements:
-
Assist in the development and allocation of system and functional requirements to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components.
Coordinate Cross-Discipline Reviews:
-
Resolve action items from Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews that require multi-disciplinary collaboration.
Participate in Integrated Product Teams:
-
Design new capabilities by evaluating all necessary development and operational considerations.
Allocate Process and Error Budgets:
-
Distribute real-time process and error budgets to systems and subsystem components.
Generate Alternative System Concepts:
-
Develop physical architectures and design solutions to meet system needs.
Define Verification Methods:
-
Establish methods, processes, and evaluation criteria to verify systems and subsystems against requirements.
Develop System Design Solutions:
-
Create system design solutions that meet requirements and fulfill functional analysis.
Contribute to System Engineering Documentation:
-
Develop and review key system engineering documents, including System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
Participate in Interface Definition and Configuration Changes:

Ensure seamless communication between affected groups and individuals throughout the system life cycle.
Derive and Refine Requirements:
-
Translate higher-level requirements into detailed system component functions that are complete, correct, and verifiable.
Establish a Common Reference Point:
-
Define requirements, designs, interfaces, and test procedures to guide hardware and software developers.
Develop Requirements for Information Assurance:
-
Define derived requirements for Information Assurance (IA) services, including Confidentiality, Integrity, Nonrepudiation, and Availability.
Qualifications
Required:
- Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
- Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Experience in Systems Engineering:
- Level 2: Fourteen (14) years of experience in Systems Engineering efforts – or nineteen (19) years of experience without a degree.
Desired Experience/Familiarity With:
- Quantum Algorithms/Engineering
- Zero-Trust Engineering
- AWS/Cloud Technologies
- Agile Engineering
- Hardware and Software Engineering
- Military or Special Operations Operations
