The Opportunity

We’re seeking talented Systems Engineers (SE) with expertise in Hardware Engineering to join our team in the Fort Meade, Maryland area. This is your chance to leverage your Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) experience to support national defense goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

As a Systems/Hardware Engineer, you will:

• Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure production systems align with the defined system architecture(s) (e.g., DoDAF, SOA).
• Assist in developing system and functional requirements, allocating them to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components.
• Coordinate the resolution of action items from CCB meetings, design reviews, and program reviews that require cross-discipline collaboration.
• Contribute to Integrated Product Teams by designing new capabilities based on developmental and operational evaluations.
• Allocate real-time process and error budgets to system and subsystem components.
• Generate alternative system concepts, physical architectures, and design solutions.
• Define verification methods, processes, and evaluation criteria to ensure systems, subsystems, and work products meet requirements.
• Develop system design solutions that meet system requirements and fulfill functional analysis.
• Provide input for program and contract work breakdown structures, work packages, and the integrated master plan.
• Assist in developing system engineering documentation, including System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, and Interface Control Documents.
• Define and manage interface design changes throughout the system’s lifecycle.
• Analyze stakeholder needs and derive lower-level requirements that are complete, correct, and verifiable.
• Develop Information Assurance requirements and security mechanism technologies, including cryptography, access control, and key management.

Qualifications

Required:

• Active Secret Clearance
• Knowledge of field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs).
• Experience with ModelSim for VHDL or Verilog HDL coding, simulations, and Xilinx tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.

Years of Experience:

• Level 0: 0 years of experience (or 5 years without a BA).

• Level 1: 7 years of experience (or 12 years without a BA).

• Level 2: 14 years of experience (or 19 years without a BA).

• Level 3: 20 years of experience (or 25 years without a BA).

Desired:

• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C, C , and Ruby on Rails.
• familiarity with operating systems, including Unix, Linux, and Windows.
