Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality patient care and assume responsibility for a group of residents during a shift of duty.
Nursing Care Responsibilities
- Provides licensed care to assigned residents as ordered by physician, in accordance with facility, federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
- Maintains a clean and sanitary environment, including resident care rooms and treatment areas.
- Takes and records residents' vital signs, administers catheter care, IV therapy, and respiratory care as ordered within license limitations.
- Charts nurses' notes in an informative and descriptive manner that reflects the care provided and the resident's response to the care.
- Ensures the resident's environment is free from accidents and hazards, and addresses potential safety risks promptly.
- Monitors and directs non-licensed ancillary services as necessary to maintain the highest practicable level of resident care.
Requirements
- CPR training and current BLS certification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Understands and follows infection control standards, policies, and procedures.
- Nursing degree or diploma from an accredited college or university.
- One year of experience preferred, with long-term care experience a plus.
