Position Overview:
As an STNA at New Lebanon, you will play a vital role in delivering direct, hands-on care to our residents. Working closely with a compassionate team of nurses and healthcare professionals, you will assist with daily activities, provide personal care, and ensure that each resident is treated with respect and dignity. You will be an essential part of a team committed to providing the highest quality care in a nurturing and supportive environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Direct Care: Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding, while ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Monitor Health: Observe and report changes in residents' conditions to the nursing team, ensuring prompt attention to their needs.
- Assist with Mobility: Help residents with mobility, including transferring them safely from beds to chairs, and assist with exercises or physical therapy when needed.
- Provide Emotional Support: Build meaningful relationships with residents, offering emotional support and companionship to improve their overall well-being.
- Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure that the residents' environment is clean, safe, and conducive to healing, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Document Care: Accurately document the care provided and any changes in residents' condition for the healthcare team.
What We’re Looking For:
- STNA Certification: Must hold a valid State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification in the state of Ohio
- Compassionate Nature: A genuine desire to care for others with kindness, respect, and patience.
- Strong Work Ethic: Reliable and hardworking with a commitment to providing the highest standard of care.
- Team-Oriented: Ability to collaborate with RNs, LPNs, and other healthcare team members to ensure residents receive optimal care.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions and take initiative when it comes to residents' personal care and needs.
