What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Director of Clinical Operations position at Villa Healthcare?
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Regional Director of Operations provides multi-site clinical leadership for a respective group of skilled nursing facilities in a designated region. Provides a consultative approach in supporting facility clinical leadership in the respective region to achieve above-average patient outcomes. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of nursing care and services provided to residents in each of the Region’s facilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Achieves customer service objectives for all facilities within the region, including 3 Star Quality Ratings.
- Ensures Substantial Compliance within all areas of Region’s facilities.
- Ensures successful survey outcomes as measured by an above-average State survey results.
- Supports the provision of safe environments of all facilities within the Region as measured by zero-deficiency OSHA inspections and zero lost time worker’s compensation claims.
- Ensures clinical Company clinical goals are achieved as measured by the Clinical Scoreboard System Review.
- Supports each facility within the region to establish and maintain an active and productive Quality and Performance Improvement Committee.
- Provides oversight and guidance to clinical leaders at each facility to ensure State mandated minimum staffing levels.
- Provides leadership in selecting, developing and retaining clinical leadership talent in all facilities within the Region.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.. Master's degree preferred.
- Must hold and maintain a current Nursing License.
Experience:
- 5-7 years’ experience as Regional Clinical Director and/or Administrator level in assisted living, long term care, or related senior housing organization. Multi-site experience preferred.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Seasoned leader who demonstrates team play and decision making.
- Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivation and the ability work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Ability to travel extensively including overnight stays and for extended periods of time.
- Strong clinical skills.
- Knowledge of State and Federal regulations and the survey process.
ENVIRONMENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, find hand coordination, pushing and pul ling, ability to distinguish smells and temperatures, all with or without the aid of mechanical devices is required.
- Limited potential for exposure to environmental hazards. Understanding and adherence to company safety standards and protocols required.
- Regular travel by car and/or air approximately 50% of the time.
