Villa Maria, Inc. and the Adorer’s of the Blood of Christ in Mulvane Ks. Are looking for a caring, professional, Director of Nursing.

Director of Nursing (DON) Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily clinical meetings with nursing management.
- Communicate expectations of nursing staff and holds them accountable.
- Ensure there is adequate staff available in nursing units to provide quality excellence.
- Daily check-ins with residents to ensure their happiness and well-being.
- Review electronic medical records system (Point-Click-Care).
Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:
- Effectively communicate with residents, families, doctors, government personnel and beyond.
- Continue to help build a great team and be a Team Player.
- Work with Administrator to build a fun and productive environment where our staff loves to be and where the residents are happy and well cared for.
- Ensure Nursing department meets and exceeds state and federal requirements for care.
- Maintain composure in emergency situations and comply with facility guidelines and state regulations.
- Actively participate in the quality improvement process.
- Provide the highest quality of care possible to each of our residents, serving with kindness and compassion.
- Directly supervise all Nursing staff including but not limited to R.N.'s, L.P.N's and C.N.A.'s and Nurse Management Team.
- Hire and train Nursing Staff
- Enforce policies and procedures
Qualifications and Skills:
- We are seeking team members who have the following qualifications and skills:
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Valid Nursing license in the state of Kansas
- Experience as a DON or Nurse Manager is a must
- Professional enthusiastic attitude to ensure an excellent bedside manner.
- Strong communication skills
- Self-motivated
- Shows initiative in daily work
