As a Food Runner at 40North/Villa Restaurant Group, you will be an integral part of our service team, ensuring that our guests have a seamless dining experience. Your role will involve efficiently and courteously delivering food from the kitchen to our guests, contributing to their overall satisfaction.
What You’ll Do:
- Food Delivery: Deliver guests' orders from the kitchen to their tables in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring the presentation of dishes is maintained.
- Guest Interaction: Interact with guests in a friendly and courteous manner, addressing any immediate needs or requests they may have.
- Order Accuracy: Verify the accuracy of each order before serving it to the guest, ensuring it matches the items specified on the order ticket.
- Assistance: Provide assistance to servers and other team members, as needed, to ensure the smooth flow of service and guest satisfaction.
- Bussing Tables: Assist in clearing and resetting tables once guests have finished their meals, making the dining area ready for new guests.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the dining area clean and tidy, promptly removing used dishes and ensuring that the restaurant maintains a welcoming appearance.
- Attention to Detail: Pay attention to special guest requests or dietary restrictions, ensuring that these are communicated to the kitchen accurately.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other front-of-house and back-of-house staff to ensure efficient service and a positive guest experience.
What You’ll Need:
- Previous experience as a Food Runner or in a similar guest service role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Lift and carry trays of food and drinks weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Bend, stoop, and reach to serve and clear tables.
- Ability to work in a crowded and noisy environment.
