We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and compassionate Director of Activities to lead our Life Enrichment Department and help bring joy, purpose, and connection to the residents we serve.

Responsibilities of the Director of Activities:

• Develop and implement a dynamic, person-centered activities program that meets the physical, mental, social, and emotional needs of our residents

• Coordinate and oversee daily recreational activities, special events, and outings

• Foster an engaging environment that promotes social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and overall resident well-being

• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to activities programming

• Supervise, mentor, and support a team of activity staff and volunteers

• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to integrate activities into individualized care plans

• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and the broader Villa Springfield community

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as an Activities Director in a long-term care or healthcare setting preferred

• Certified Activity Director (ADC) or eligible for certification preferred

• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills

• Creativity, energy, and a passion for enhancing the lives of seniors

• Knowledge of regulatory standards for resident activities and documentation
