Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Leasing Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales, exceptional customer service skills, and a strong understanding of Fair Housing regulations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in the real estate industry and assist prospective tenants in finding their ideal home. Must be proficient in a busy work environment and available for overtime as needed.
Duties
- Conduct property tours for potential residents and highlight key features
- Assist applicants with the leasing process and ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately
- Utilize upselling techniques to promote additional property amenities
- Maintain knowledge of current market conditions and competitor pricing
- Address resident inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and company policies
- Utilize legal administrative skills to prepare lease agreements and related documents
- Handle main reception area in busy office environment, answer phones and provide rental information, schedule appointments, handle email communications, provide various administrative duties to assist other team members and residents
- Assist with planning, organizing and running community events and activities
- Assist with social media marketing, creating interactive social posts and videos in various platforms
- Assist with light cleaning duties as needed and other duties as asigned
- Position requires dressing professionally, working in various weather conditions while touring guests, long periods of sitting, standing and walking. Must be able to use stairs and lift up to 50 lbs
- Computer Skills: Microsoft word, Excel, Google Docs and able to learn new software
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in a real estate or property management setting
- Experience as an Administrative Assistant, Receptionist or Secretary
- Strong conflict management skills to handle challenging situations effectively
- Excellent customer service abilities with a focus on building positive relationships
- Proficient in office software & equipment including MS Office, Google Drive, Docs etc.
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
