Description
We are seeking a dynamic, results-orientated, enthusiastic sales professional to work within our consumer products team responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy for growing the Maverick Hunting business and brand. The sales manager will perform sales activities for Maverick Hunting including identifying leads, creating sales opportunities, and managing relationships with customers including large and small retail chains, distributors, dealers, hunting outfitters, and other customers. This key position requires leadership, teamwork, planning, and organizational skills to communicate our product offering to target customers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to accommodate Maverick’s goals
- Work within the consumer product team to complete market analysis to determine customer needs and evaluate price structure, volume benefits, marketing program elements, and support materials.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities and threats.
- Meet with key customers/prospects to deliver sales presentations, maintain relationships, negotiate, and close deals.
- Collaborate with the cross-functional product teams to ensure sales strategies align with overall business objectives.
- Work with customer support to onboard new customers and service existing customers.
- Works with finance to determine payment terms agreed upon for retail chains, distributors, dealers, etc.
- Advise the team on the assessment of products, pricing, and features needed to meet the demands of our channel partners and end customers.
- Assist in coordinating trade shows and sales events promoting and selling products.
- Analyze, prepare, and present regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
- Handle escalated customer concerns or issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Develop and analyze demand forecast monthly ensuring we are staying ahead of fluctuating demand changes.
- Works with new and current customers and dealers getting them onboarded into our dealer platform.
- Listens to the needs of our customers and brings the ideas back to cross-functional teams to develop new products and improvements.
- Analyze the outdoor space staying on top of new item trends along with new competition entering the market.
- Maintain CRM systems and other sales tools to track leads, opportunities, and sales pipelines.
- Focuses actions, goals, and objectives to coincide with the mission, vision, and values of The Village Companies

Requirements
Education and Training:
- 4-year college degree in a related field of study preferred
- 3 years of sales experience preferred,
- Proven success in selling to large retail chains, B2B and B2C
- Skilled at using MS Office Suite: MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook
- Experience using CRM software daily is a plus
- Epicor ERP software or other ERP software experience is a plus
- Experience and/or participation in the hunting industry a plus
- Passionate outdoor enthusiast a plus
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Outdoor consumer products industry knowledge preferred
- An ability to build relationships with a variety of distribution contacts (retail buyers, dealers, professional outdoors staff, consumers) while nurturing and closing new business deals.

Travel Requirements:
