SVP, Commercial Banker

Village Bank is seeking an experienced SVP, Commercial Banker with a proven track record in sourcing, developing and managing commercial relationships. We're looking for someone who excels at identifying opportunities, structuring transactions, and delivering exceptional customer service.

About the Role:
As SVP, Commercial Banker, you will actively support the Bank's growth goals by sourcing new loan and depository relationships and managing a quality commercial loan portfolio. This position focuses on building strong banking relationships through identifying and financing qualified, industry-targeted commercial loans while cross-selling deposit, treasury management, and other bank products and services.

Working with a wide array of complex loans, you'll provide guidance throughout the bank while growing your commercial portfolio through active business development. This role offers an opportunity to work with commercial clients while contributing to our bank's growth and success in the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate loan volume and fee income through strategic business development efforts
• Actively develop and manage a complex loan portfolio, overseeing all aspects of borrowing relationships
• Actively source new business opportunities through referrals, networking, and community engagement
• Structure and close complex commercial loans while maintaining strong portfolio quality
• Build and deepen client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service
• Cross-sell treasury management services, deposits, and other bank products to meet clients' full financial needs
• Analyze financial information and make sound credit recommendations
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal policies
• Effectively present loan information to senior leadership and loan committees and serve as an active committee member on committees assigned.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field
• 7 years of commercial banking experience with demonstrated success in business development
• Strong understanding of credit analysis and deal structuring
• Proven track record of generating and closing new business opportunities
• Excellence in relationship management and customer service
• Deep knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with team members.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required.

Compensation and Benefits:

Total compensation expected for this role is between $144,000 - $243,500 which includes a base salary plus annual incentive program. The incentive pay is achieved through organizational and individual performance.
