What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Village Behavioral Health?
We are currently recruiting for an Accountant in our Business Office. This position is responsible for the coordination and support of the accounting processes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Process bi-weekly payroll submissions to corporate payroll processor.
- Process Accounts Payable invoices and payments and ensures proper approvals are being attained on all invoices.
- Maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability or other financial activities within the facility.
- Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for month-end close.
- Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Analyze financial data in order to prepare financial reports.
- Prepare and examine financial reports to ensure the records are accurate and timely.
- Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
- Prepare required financial reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis as required.
- Ensure the financial records are accurate and filed timely.
- Generate other financial and ad hoc reports as needed.
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required.
- Two years’ accounting experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required.

Salary Range: $52K - $65K/year
