Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our fast casual restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. As the General Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing kitchen operations, budgeting, and supervising staff to create a welcoming environment for both guests and employees.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of the restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Oversee kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, while maintaining high quality and consistency.
- In charge of scheduling, monitoring labor in both the front and back of house.
- Develop and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-control measures to maximize profitability. In charge of placing food/supply orders and monitoring food usage.
- Supervise and train staff in food handling practices, customer service protocols, and operational procedures.
- Foster a positive team environment through effective communication, motivation, and conflict resolution.
- Responsible for day to day training of staff and developing leaders in the business.
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences by maintaining high standards of service and addressing any customer concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality ingredients are sourced for menu offerings.
- Implement marketing strategies to promote the restaurant and attract new customers. Market the restuarant location within the local community and engage stakeholders in the area such as as school, churches and other local businesses.
Experience
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality or casual dining industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, kitchen operations, and food handling practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets effectively while maximizing profitability.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience in supervising diverse teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and enhancing guest experiences.
