Infection Preventionist Nurse : RN or LPN
Full-Time : Monday-Friday : Flexible schedule

- Acts as Chairperson for the QA committee
- Assists team leaders in developing and implementing auditing / evaluation activities
- Provides committee members and / or team leaders with review forms and Summary of QA Monitoring forms.
- Acts as liaison in the coordination of QA activities throughout the facility
- Investigates Sentinel Event(s) as identified and document findings on the Sentinel Event Investigation Report
- Maintains Master Calendar of QA activities
- Maintains minutes of quarterly meetings
- Monitors and coordinates QA committee efforts in
- Recommendations for corrective actions to issues
- Monitoring and evaluating resident care and services provide, especially those identified as issues necessitating action of the committee
- Evaluate / re-evaluate corrective actions for effectiveness
- Annually reassessing monitoring and evaluation methods
- Maintenance of adequate records related to the various assigned content areas
- Maintenance of QA calendar of monitoring activities in areas including but not limited to
- Other tasks as requested by the Director of Nursing or Administrator
Education, Specialized and / or Technical Knowledge Requirements
Possesses a current, active license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Kentucky
Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to apply principles of administration, management and leadership.
Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to applyprinciples of nursing care and standards of nursing practice
Demonstrates the ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel
Demonstrates knowledge of the legal aspects of nursing practice
Demonstrates the ability to apply principles of communication and problem solving techniques
Demonstrates the ability to adjust to change, perform multiple tasks and accept variable job assignments
Demonstrates knowledge of and experience in the operation of long term care in the state of Kentucky
Demonstrates a knowledge of quality assurance in health care environments and documentation practices in this area
