Caregiver/CNA Position
About the Position:
This role involves providing comprehensive care and support to clients, focusing on their unique needs and goals. The ideal candidate will be a team player, possessing excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Care: Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and using the bathroom.
- Medical Support: Help clients manage medications and medical conditions, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Transportation and Errands: Safely transport clients to appointments, errands, and social events, completing tasks such as grocery shopping and household chores.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals, considering clients' dietary needs and preferences.
- Therapy and Exercise: Accompany clients to therapy sessions and help them with exercises and stretches, promoting independence and mobility.
Requirements:
- Strong Communication Skills: Enjoy interacting with clients, families, and healthcare professionals, communicating effectively and compassionately.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, with physical capability to perform job-related duties.
- Reliable Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation every single day.
- Compassionate Attitude: Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner.
- Scheduling Flexibility: Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends.
- Prior Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year).
- Education and Certifications: High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver, CNA, or HHA, or completion of a CNA Program.
