Village Green, with over 25 years of experience, is a locally owned company, with four office locations in Saint Paul, New Brighton, Brooklyn Park, and Savage. We are looking for Mechanics, who specialize in repair & maintenance for our fleet of trucks & equipment.
Winter Hours : Very flexible schedule (40 hours per week).
Spring to Fall Hours : Flexible can be four 10's or five 8's. The shift however is not a 7 : 00a-3 : 30p position.
Hourly Rate : DOE- $22-$40 / hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES for our Mechanic :
Maintain and repair company equipment and vehicles. Our fleet includes : P ickup trucks, dump trucks, semi-trucks, s mall engine equipment, skid loaders, front end loaders, excavators, , and trailers
Knowledgeable in brakes, suspension, cooling, light engine work, and transmission
Drivability assessment – diagnose sounds, check engine lights, sensors
Ability to trouble shoot hydraulic mechanisms such as plows and dump trucks
Ability to read and interpret diagrams and instructions for repair and maintenance of equipment
Demonstrates ability to problem solve electrical issues, 12 / 24V systems
Metal Fab / Welding; wire feed and stick
Performs preventive maintenance inspections
Follows organization define process of where and how to maintain detailed, high quality recording of work and repairs
Demonstrates timely and effective communication- verbal, non-verbal, and written
Communication and behavior are consistent with company values
Demonstrates high quality decision making in a fast paced and quickly evolving environment
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
3 years of mechanic experience
Valid driver license with a clean driving record
Own your basic tools – company to provide specialty tools
Must be able to pass a pre- employment drug test.
Preferred
Class A license (CDL)
