Village Green is a locally owned company with office locations in Saint Paul, New Brighton, Brooklyn Park, and Savage Village Green, with over 25 years of experience, is a locally owned company, with four office locations in Saint Paul, New Brighton, Brooklyn Park, and Savage. We are looking for Mechanics, who specialize in repair & maintenance for our fleet of trucks & equipment. Winter Hours : Very flexible schedule (40 hours per week). Spring to Fall Hours : Flexible can be four 10's or five 8's. The shift however is not a 7 : 00a-3 : 30p position. Hourly Rate : DOE- $22-$40 / hour Benefit Eligible - M edical, Dental, Vision, Disability (STD, LTD), Life Ins, PTO
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES for our Mechanic :
- Maintain and repair company equipment and vehicles. Our fleet includes : Pickup trucks, dump trucks, semi-trucks, small engine equipment, skid loaders, front end loaders, excavators, , and trailers
- Knowledgeable in brakes, suspension, cooling, light engine work, and transmission
- Drivability assessment diagnose sounds, check engine lights, sensors
- Ability to trouble shoot hydraulic mechanisms such as plows and dump trucks
- Ability to read and interpret diagrams and instructions for repair and maintenance of equipment
- Demonstrates ability to problem solve electrical issues, 12 / 24V systems
- Metal Fab / Welding; wire feed and stick
- Performs preventive maintenance inspections
- Follows organization define process of where and how to maintain detailed, high quality recording of work and repairs
- Demonstrates timely and effective communication- verbal, non-verbal, and written
- Communication and behavior are consistent with company values
- Demonstrates high quality decision making in a fast paced and quickly evolving environment
